Sotheby's New York, October 30, 1997, Extraordinary Jewels from a Private Collection, lot 31.

In very good condition, with very light wear to the highly flexible mounting. Stamped with maker's mark for François Tavernier and PT950 for platinum. Numbered A2383 on the female clasp of the sapphire segment. The sapphires are a medium to medium-deep, very slightly violetish blue. Starting from the tongue clasp: sapphire 1 (Kashmir) displays minor color zoning and is slightly included with a fingerprint along the perimeter of the stone; sapphire 2 (Burma) is moderately included with fingerprints and surface abrasions; sapphire 3 (Burma) is moderately included with fingerprints along the perimeter of the stone; sapphire 4 (Ceylon) is moderately included with fingerprints and included crystals; sapphire 5 (Ceylon) is slightly included with a fingerprint in one corner of the stone; sapphire 6 (Ceylon) is slightly included with a fingerprint only visible at certain angles and a small chip not affecting durability; and sapphire 7 (Burma) displays color zoning and is slightly included with a fingerprint along one side of the stone. The numerous round and pear-shaped diamonds weighing in total approximately 50.80 carats are approximately F-G color, with a few H color examples near the back, VVS-VS clarity. The 4 clasps are all fitted with safety closures. Accompanied by AGL report no. 1084698, dated May 31, 2017, stating that one sapphire is of Kashmir origin, three are of Burmese origin, and three are of Ceylon origin, with no indications of heating. .
