Condition
In good condition. The central double-cabochon emerald presenting a slightly asymmetrical dome and measuring approximately 33.5 x 32.0 x 23.0 mm (mounting permitting) carved on both sides with Mughal flowerhead motifs; medium-light slightly bluish green, heavily included but translucent. The 8 emerald-cut emeralds are medium green and heavily included; the 16 cabochon rubies are medium-deep purplish red and semi-opaque to opaque, some with surface-reaching inclusions. Approximately 172 round diamonds weighing approximately 12.40 carats; approximately G-H color, VS clarity. Fitted with a pendant hook. Measuring 3 x 2 5/8 inches. Mounted in 18K gold and platinum. Previously sold in Sotheby's New York, December 7, 2004, Magnificent Jewels, lot 24.
