Condition
In very good condition given age, with tarnish and wear to the gold commensurate with the brooch's dating. Amethyst is a transparent medium purple color, eye-clean, with a faceted pavilion giving the stone added vibrancy. The lapis lazuli beads are a deep blue color with attractive flecks of pyrite. Please note that the reverse image of lot 74 is improperly numbered in the printed catalogue.
