Condition
In very good condition. Diamonds are approximately F-G color, predominantly VVS clarity, with two slightly violetish blue diamonds by the ankle of the raised foot. The sapphires are well-matched, medium blue color, eye-clean. The black enamel has a few small areas of loss on either slipper, visible only under close inspection but not visible when worn. The thin white enamel on the cheeks is lightly painted and is likely intentional. Length approximately 3 1/4 inches. This brooch was featured in Gemstone News by Victoria Gomelsky, "Designing Jewelry to Taste", National Jeweler, October, 2001.
