Formerly in the collection of Sophia Augusta Brown, only daughter of John Carter Brown of Providence and Newport, Rhode Island. Purchased from Tiffany & Co.
Condition
Accompanied by SSEF report no. 83146 and Gübelin report no. 17040182, each stating that the sugarloaf sapphire weighing 9.79 carats, measuring 12.19 x 12.13 x 7.14mm, is of Kashmir origin, with no indications of heating.
Signed Tiffany & Co. Sapphire blue of strong saturation, with typical inclusions. For more information on the sapphire, please refer to the gemmological reports. Diamonds bright and lively, estimated to weigh a total of approximately 2.75 - 3.25 carats, as gauged in the mount. Signs of normal wear to the metal. In very good condition. Gross weight approximately 8 grams.
