Manual winding movement in running condition at time of cataloguing, please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee future working condition of clocks and watches. Please note that the movement has not been tested for the accuracy of its time keeping and therefore a service should be carried out in the near future at the buyer's expense. Dial signed Cartier. Caseback signed Cartier Paris Londres New York and numbered 4819, 1559 and 5885, with French assay marks for gold and silver. Mounted in silver, yellow and white gold as tested. Jadeite bangle is translucent, light green suffused with green streaks and less greenish than illustrated. Jadeite carving with good translucency, are light green, some suffused with green streaks. Jadeite overall in very good condition. Mother of pearl are white with strong rosé and green overtone and good lustre, in very good condition. Rubies are purple-red colour with good saturation, with typical inclusions, some surface reaching. Agate is semi-translucent to opaque, dark greyish black colour with surface reaching crack near the base on both sides, but pose no immediate threat to the durability of piece. Black agate base in very good condition. Signs of minor abrasion to black enamel, otherwise in very good condition. Old rose-cut diamonds are on average J colour and VS to SI clarity as gauged and graded in the mounting. Signs of tarnish and wear to metal consistent with age. Overall in very good condition.
