The movement in working condition at the time of cataloguing. The watch appears to be unworn, with no visible blemishes. Overall in excellent condition. Please note that the movement has not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's expense. 百達翡麗為慶祝Nautilus系列誕生四十週年，推出一對限量版貴金屬錶款5711/1P 及5976/1G型號。
Nautilus系列由著名錶廠Gérald Genta設計，靈感來自船隻的舷窗，因而以凡爾納小說《海底兩萬哩》中的鸚鵡螺號「Nautilus」潛水艇為腕錶為命名。命名。當時百達翡麗的廣告語將Nautilus形容為適合休閒生活的運動型腕錶，在隨後的歲月，藏家不論愛其典雅或欣賞其堅固，Nautilus均呈現出它獨特而迷人的面貌。
5976/1G型號連錶冠直徑達49.25毫米，是百達翡麗歷來最大型的錶款。它是5980型號的加大版本，錶盤有數處改動——小時指針共鑲0.29克拉梯形鑽石；藍色錶盤中心印有週年圖徽（「1976-40-2016」）。5976/1G型號為向品牌前作的致敬錶款，特意附帶週年特別紀念版復古軟木錶盒，其盒身設計與1976年Nautilus系列的錶盒如出一轍。
本錶款限量生產1300枚。本品是拍賣場上首枚5976/1G型號四十週年紀念限量版，而且品相完美。
