Condition
The movement is running at the time of cataloguing. The dial and case along with the bracelet are in good condition, the case has likely been slightly polished and not use very often.
The watch has not been tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion. Please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement.

Gilbert Albert was a Swiss jewelry designer famed for his daring and unusually shaped designs inspired by modern art and sculpture, particularly works by Brancusi and Mondrian. His outstanding creations gained the prestigious 'Oscar' award at the Diamonds International Awards ten times, three for Patek Philippe, two for Omega and five times under his own name. In 1962 he opened his own workshop in Geneva, specializing in the design and manufacture of unique jewels and objects.
The present lot carries the case-maker key number 28 which is Patek Philippe SA. A copy of the invoice additionally confirms the movement was made by Piguet and the date of sale on May 9th, 1992.
