The ring: Signed Van Cleef & Arpels and VCA, numbered JE566625, with French assay mark for gold and French maker's mark. Stamped Au750 for 18 karat white and yellow gold, and 47 referring to the European ring size. Ruby estimated to weigh approximately 0.80 carat, red of strong saturation, eye clean, with minor typical inclusions and some nicks under 10x magnification. Diamonds estimated to weigh approximately 0.20 carat in total, are on average E to F colour, VVS to VS clarity, as gauged and graded in the mounting. Signs of normal wear to the metal consistent with use, overall in good condition. The pendant necklace: Signed VCA and numbered ML5376, stamped OR750 for 18 karat white gold, pendant with indistinct French assay and maker's marks, clasp with Van Cleef & Arpels maker's marks. Gemstones estimated to weigh approximately 2.00 to 2.80 carats in total; rubies of purplish red colour and medium strong saturation; pink sapphires of purplish pink colour and light to medium saturation, generally eye clean, with minor typical inclusions, some nicks and minor abrasions under 10x magnification. Diamonds estimated to weigh approximately 0.70 carat in total, F to G and H to I colour, VVS to VS clarity, as gauged and graded in the mounting. Signs of very little wear to the metal, overall in very good condition. Two cases stamped Van Cleef & Arpels, accompanied by Van Cleef & Arpels certificate of authenticity.
