finely carved to the front face with a panel enclosing a dragon amid cloud swirls above a tiger perched on a large craggy rock, the reverse inscribed with four seal characters reading longyin huxiao (dragons sing and tigers roar), pierced at the top for suspension, the stone of an even white tone
Condition
This jade plaque is in overall good condition, with the exception of a minute nick to the bottom corner on one side. It should be noted that the stone is of a slightly lighter tone than the catalogue illustration would suggest.
