the duck shown recumbent resting, grasping a lotus spray in its beak with one end curled around its neck, its wings folded on the sides, with two smaller ducks to its head and rear respectively, the stone of a pale greenish-white color with russet and white inclusions

Condition

The carving is in good condition with the exception of several natural fissures to the upper surface and a nick to the edge of one webbed foot .The base has four drilled holes .It should be noted that the colour is of a slightly cooler green tone than the catalogue illustration would suggest.
