each painted in bright famille-rose enamels with a central medallion enclosing two butterflies flying over flowering sprays reserved on a white background, within a yellow and green foliate band, surrounded by a further puce diaper band, all bordered by five shaped floral and fruit reserves on a green cell pattern ground, the underside painted in puce, the base centred with a melon and magnolia spray on white background
Condition
One dish with restoration approx. 3.5 cm long on the puce diaper border. The other dish with touch ups to one yellow flower head and foliate scroll in the central well. There are also several scratches to the interior with the longest approx. 10.5 cm, some minor retouching to enamel, and some minor adhesions. Both dishes with some minor surface scratches and dents consistent with age and use.
