carved in high relief with numerous figures and horses, depicting a scene from the Daoist text Liezi Liming (Writings of Master Lie, Endeavour and Destiny) of Spring and Autumn period Qi State chancellor Guan Zhong being rescued from confinement by long-time friend Bao Shuya, with traces of black and green pigments
Condition
There is a small crack to one side, approx. 2.5 cm long, with associated fill. There are several age cracks on the back with the longest extending approximately 3 cm, and some minor stains along with minor scratches to the surface. There is a section on the back edge where there are some dark adhesions approx. 3.7 cm long.
