清乾隆 青花纏枝蓮紋杏圓開光式福壽雙耳扁壺 《大清乾隆年製》款

the flattened circular body rising from a short spreading foot to a tall trumpet neck flanked by a pair of ruyi handles, the exterior moulded in low relief on both sides with a peach-shaped panel painted in rich cobalt-blue tones with bats soaring around fruiting leafy sprays bearing clusters of ripe peaches, the panels surrounded by a leafy floral scroll ground and similarly decorated to the sides and neck, the rectangular foot with a classic scroll band, the base inscribed with a seal mark in underglaze blue

The lower portion of the body has broken into several sections and re-attached with associated hairline cracks, the longest extending approximately 10 cm on one side. There is a re-attached chip to the foot, two chips to the rim, one with an associated hairline crack approximately 0.7 cm and two further scratches to the interior, the longest approximately 3.5 cm. There are several areas of loss associated with the breaks.
