cast seated in dhyanasana on a double-lotus pedestal base with hands joined in dhyanamudra, dressed in a dhoti with foliate borders, with a billowing celestial scarf around his shoulders and arms, adorned with jewellery inlaid with hard stones and large wheel-shaped earrings, the face with benevolent expression surmounted by a high chignon

This figure is in good condition, but has lost the alms bowl that is supported to the hands. There is also a loss of gilding to the head, arms and torso and some of the semi-precious inlaid stones to the body jewellery are missing. The base plate has been partly depressed into the interior of the figure, which has created a bent fold to the front section. There are also various minor nicks and scratches to surfaces throughout.
