of compressed spherical form, rising from three cabriole legs to a narrow waisted neck and flat ribbed rim, the sides with three scalloped cartouches in Arabic script, covered in an even warm brown patina, the base with an apocryphal four-character Xuande mark in seal script
Condition
The censer is in overall good condition, except for a few minute dents to the surface and some rubbing to the patination, particularly to the feet, consistent with age and use.
