the heavily cast compressed spherical body rising to a wide mouth, flanked by a pair of loop handles, supported on three conical legs, covered in an even dark brown patina, the base with an apocryphal four-character Xuande mark in seal script

This censer is in good condition, but has most likely been cleaned at some point, with the patina lighter in areas. There are a number of nicks and surface scratches, which is consistent with its age and use.
