the hollowed globular vessel detailed with ruyi-shaped clouds, situated on a platform modelled in the form of ragged rocks and rippling waves, depicted on the left side with a phoenix standing on one foot with its long tail curled to the back, a sinuous dragon clambering on the right side, its scales detailed with fine incisions, the polished stone of a pale celadon colour, wood stand
Condition
This waterpot is in good condition, but does have a small approx. 4 by 2mm chip to the comb of the phoenix. There is a long flaw running from near the rim to one side, diagonally through the other to the lower section below the dragon's back right foot. There is also a short flaw running through the left side of the head of the dragon.
