of rectangular section with canted corners, the rounded sides supported on a short foot, boldly painted in cobalt-blue tones on the domed cover with a bracketed cartouche enclosing two ferocious dragons leaping from foaming waves contesting a 'flaming pearl', all reserved on a rectangular panel of diaper, the sides of the cover and box decorated with birds amongst fruiting peach trees, encircled by classic scrolls at the rims, the base inscribed with a six-character mark in three columns within a double rectangle, the fifth claw of each dragon effaced

Condition
The box with some shallow chips to the rim (widest 1.6cm). The dragons on the cover with the fifth claws effaced, with associated losses. There is general light fritting characteristic of the period and minor scratches. The box and the cover are a good fit.
