釋文：見梅驚笑，問經年何處，收香藏白。似語如愁，却問我，何苦紅塵久客。觀裏栽桃，壇頭種杏，到處成疎隔。千林無伴，淡然獨傲霜雪。且與管領春回，孤標爭肯接，雄蜂雌蝶。豈是無情，知受了，多少淒涼風月。寄驛人遙，和羮心在，謾使芳塵歇。東風寂寞，可人誰為攀折。右《梅》詞，調寄《念奴嬌》。
東風送暖下南州，一樹寒香雪未收。昨□碧窓人靜後，夢隨明月到羅浮，右《詠梅》。癸卯(1543)春二月既望，徵明書。鈐印：「衡山」

何兆驥先生出生於中國上海，自幼四海為家，藉此自學成才，並於早年培養出個人的鑑賞品味。其家族經營煤炭業，他把家族業務拓展至航運業，後於1949年離開中國內地抵達香港。1959年，他舉家移民至紐約，一直居於當地至2017年以九十八歲高齡辭世。

何氏珍藏包羅中國書畫、珠寶、家具及其他藝術珍品。他非常欣賞中國藝術文化，尤其是古董文物。其收藏歷程始於香港，退休後他投放更多精力進行購藏，與國際拍賣行專家積極聯繫。他對研究和拍賣過程的享受之情，相當於他對收藏本身的鍾愛。
