傅抱石(1904-1965)、關山月(1912-2000) 觀瀑圖

註：傅抱石與關山月相識於抗戰期間，然二人締結藝緣，則為一九五九年為人民大會堂合作繪製巨幅〈江山如此多嬌〉。此畫極獲讚譽，而傅、關兩人從此成為具有時代意義的藝術家組合，筆下合作遂被賦予別樣的歷史意義，公私單位及個人皆以得此為榮。而傅氏畫山、關氏畫樹，沿襲繪製〈江山〉一圖之方式，成為二人合作定式。

一九六一年五月，傅、關兩人受命重繪〈江山〉，再聚京城，然計劃忽遭擱置，改為同赴東北寫生。是年六月至九月底，他倆訪長春、吉林、哈爾濱、鞍山、撫順等地，歷時四月，行程四千餘里，寫生作畫，收獲頗豐。八月，二人抵鞍山，參觀鞍鋼，住鞍山勝利賓館，〈傅抱石年譜〉記載是月九日有「游千山」之行，本幅即繪於此前一日。傅抱石以淡墨淺色畫高士仰觀遠瀑，關山月復濃墨重筆添蒼松一株，傅氏最後題識署款，兩家筆墨酣暢淋漓，接合無縫，如出一手。作品僅題識，未鈐印，或出於參觀期間，一時興到，執筆寫此，印章未隨身攜帶。
