註：悲鴻以寫馬聞名中外，實其題材中最自覺滿意者乃麻雀，此乃他對星洲好友、當地中華書局經理施寅佐所言。他寫麻雀，翅膀、喙爪，多刻劃仔細， 軀體染赭，或棲枝，或展翅，神態靈動，本幅則見淡墨兩團，純出渲染，僅以細筆點目勾嘴，帶出雙雀憨態，枝頭結伴，如喁喁密語，伴以粗幹細枝，綠葉為襯，畫面頓見清新自然。悲鴻筆下作此情狀，實有意為之，蓋屬致賀文藝界好友嘉禮之慶。

賈訥夫舊藏名家作品（編號1355-1357）

賈訥夫（1910-1999），廣東番禺人，受私塾教育。三十年代末定居香港，為企業家胡文虎私人祕書，協辦星系報業。歷任〈星島日報〉編輯及主筆，服務逾五十載。他工詩善書法，從父賈曦初習書，以行、草、楷書著稱。作品曾於港台、歐美等地展出。他與藝文界往來密切，與渡海三家交誼尤深，本輯作品皆出諸畫家寫贈，足可証之。
