上款：「澹江」即賀澹江（1907-1983)，湖南長沙人，出生於書香世家，自幼愛好詩畫。嫁與語言學家黎錦熙。黎、齊兩家為世交，白石三十二歲時經胡沁園介紹，結識黎父松庵，同組「龍山詩社」，常聚談詩文書畫篆刻。藉此因緣，黎夫人澹江即拜白石為師，親往其跨車胡同家中行禮，自此每週必至，為乃師磨墨、伸紙，潛心學畫，直至老人西歸。
