註：黃苗子、郁風伉儷活躍於文藝界，涉獵廣，交游闊，仝道引為摯交者夥，故獲贈作品甚多，本幅即其一。
畫上無紀年，按風格，及刊於一九七九年之〈美術家〉雜誌，可知乃畫家七十年代中後期之作。是時吳冠中致力於探索水墨畫之創作，本幅乃紙本，惟畫風實較類近畫家筆下之油畫。構圖取滿畫式，後景色墨積叠，薄施赭、黃，即現深嶺巍峨，層岩堆叠，復以留白法帶出匹練一道，劃破幾近密封的空間，前方琅玕多株，一字橫列，讓觀者彷如置身竹林，眺望遠方山巒飛瀑。方寸天地間，層次分明，明暗、虛實、動靜對比強烈，整體視覺效果卻諧協調和，盡顯畫家大膽處理、靈巧經營之妙。
