上款：「壽泉」即陳鑒，字壽泉，廣東番禺人。幼投居廉門下，為乃師所喜，盡得真傳，應酬之作，多令其捉刀，贈畫亦夥，多晚年所出，如本幅上款稱曰「世姪」。本幅所題，以用色之法喻君子立身之道，亦畫家示門人德藝兼修之期許。

「餘學齋」舊藏嶺南二居及渡海三家精品（編號1201-1205）

「餘學齋」主人鄭德芬，香港報界人士，供職〈工商日報〉，任廣告部經理。性嗜書畫，上世紀四十至六十年代活躍於當地文化界，與文化界人士多有交往，訪港之南北名宿，常有過從，如安排展覽等，亦從傍襄助，故獲贈作品甚豐，其室號「餘學齋」匾額即出自張大千手筆。歷年所積，藏品以廣東書畫界名宿之作為主，上及清代，下迄民國，如嶺南畫派早期諸家，粵籍文人學者，以至同期書畫名家，蔚然大觀。

本輯所集乃「渡海三家」五十年代初所贈之成扇，皆創作大盛之期所出，並得名家書法相配，且選料講究，如取「大風堂」製扇箋，如得刻竹聖手支慈厂精刻扇骨，堪稱匹配。另嶺南畫派宗師居巢、居廉之扇面，精繪花鳥草蟲，生動逼肖，細緻傳神，且保存完好，足供細玩。
