上款：「樊太夫人」即臺靜農之母樊氏（1882-1974）
註：本幅乃畫家寫祝好友臺靜農母八十壽誕，採「大風堂」製羅紋紙，以高山蒼翠為配景，老柏踞於巨岩，粗幹如椽，其根盤曲，枝若游龍迴首，上覆以密葉如蔭，喻遐齡柏壽之意。佈局規整，用筆厚重，設色沉鬰，畫幅不大，卻具氣象萬千之勢，寫畢，自巴西八德園寄付台北。
臺靜農得此佳迹，甚喜，於十一月十五日親書申謝，曰「家慈八十壽，承賜〈百壽圖〉，蒼潤奇古，勁秀渾成，長為家乘之光……」，後付裝裱，復署簽，題曰「〈嵩壽〉」，亦即信中「百壽」之意。
大千贈臺氏及其雙親之作，皆無草率，且選用佳楮，如一九五二年之〈霍山瑞靄〉，選康熙羅紋紙；如一九七六年之〈灧澦歸舟圖〉，取元朝舊紙；如編號1453之〈灊霍瑞靄〉，選用金箋，其餘致贈之作，多採大風堂製仿宋羅紋紙，足見其細意用心。
