同時才輩推三絕，異日循聲繼十清。
奉贈茶農年兄老先生之任博平并政。通家侍生顧蒓。
「才」字為「名」字之誤。蒓記。

鈐印：「 顧蒓印信」、「文學侍從」、「南雅」、「窮理性養浩然之氣」、「戊子歲作」。

-Signs of restoration can be found on the couplet, where there appears to be paper cracks and paper tear along the edges and paper losses previously. Signs of abrasion and minor creases can be found, which could be improved by restoration. Otherwise, generally in fair to good condition.

「五十萬卷樓」藏名家書畫（編號1290-1303）

本輯乃近世東莞藏書家莫伯驥（1878-1958）「五十萬卷樓」舊藏，亦此聞名粵省之收藏第三度於香港蘇富比釋出。莫家藏書可溯源至晚唐學士莫宣卿，可謂陳編世守，嬋嫣不絕，至伯驥已是麻涌莫氏第廿八代，從商致富，然甘飯蔬食，癡迷古書，無閥閱之氣，藏必研究，五十萬卷書外尚有著作數十種。惜身逢亂世，藏書著述或毀於戰火，或散落人間，聚散無常，自古如是。

四十年代初，莫伯驥隨子培樾遷居澳門，方得一片寧靜，然終究無力再搜集古書，衹留部份前賢學人翰墨，寄想過往。伯驥先生曾與友人言收藏：「予無力收書畫，但藏書家如潘文勤，家亭諸公手翰，則頗有之。予蓋欲得藏書家之墨迹以寄其心情也」。本輯集書畫十四件，除賓虹山水，袁枚、吳鼒、阮元、顧莼、張惠言、盛昱等皆乾嘉道光年間藏書家、學者、金石家之手跡，可證蒐集旨實出於藏書世家經世研學之思路。而黃賓虹〈多蔭書屋圖〉（編號1303）與之前釋出〈五十萬卷樓圖〉、〈庸言書屋圖〉，合為莫伯驥、培樾父子四六年向畫家定製一套三幀，寫其藏書樓與父子二人書屋，丹青燦然，足令觀者睹畫思賢。
