Student of Benjamin Constant, Jules Lefebvre and Jean-Paul Laurens at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts, Paris, Georges-Frederic Rötig’s fauna compositions were exhibited at the Salon from 1894. In 1913, he was awarded with the Rosa Bonheur prize.
