石氏年青時已擅長工筆，九〇年代初期，他曾舉辦多場個展，作品於世界各地多個藝術機構和私人珍藏展出，在當代藝術中嶄露頭角。其作品直面身份、身體、衣著等現代議題，筆法細膩、色彩明豔，盡顯混融性的和三維立體錯覺。
《中銀大廈》把人體與香港著名地標結合起來，使用擬人手法，討論大型房地產項目中官商授受的富爭議性議題。此作是石氏標誌性「建築」系列的一幅，該系列描繪了身穿香港有名商廈造型長裙的女體，意在探討企業資本主義文化。
