《無題12447-12號（三聯作）》散發空靈邈遠的氣息，是中國藝術家沈忱的典型代表作品。沈氏主要在紐約創作，在極簡主義創作中融入時空、禪學、冥想及重複等概念，西方美學混合東方神韻，徘徊在馬克·羅斯科等人的美國色域繪畫與中國傳統水墨之間。沈忱生於上海，在取得上海戲劇學院藝術碩士後遷居北京，是中國抽象繪畫及實驗水墨的第一批開荒者，也是地下藝術運動「藝術沙龍」的活躍成員，他隨後轉到美國，自一九九一年起定居紐約。其作品恬靜安寧，讓人不禁沉浸其中，以不同的角度觀看作品。藝評家認為沈忱的作品「建立起官感與思想之間的新紐帶」（羅伯特·C·摩根），針對虛空、吐納和「萬物之始的虛無」（喬納森·古德曼）引人深思。
