釋文：吳興郡南堂有兩壁樹石，余觀之嘆曰「此畫位置若道芬，迹類宗偃，是何人哉？」吏對曰「有徐表仁者，今庽郡側。年未衰而筆力奮。」迅召而來，徵它作皆不類。遂為指其單複曲折之勢，使其凝意，且啟幽襟。迨乎構成，亦備奇狀。向之兩壁，蓋得意深奇之作。觀其潛蓄嵐漱，遮藏洞泉；蛟根束鱗，危榦聳碧；重質委地，青飚滿堂；吳興茶山，水石奔異，境与性會。乃召於山中寫明月峽，因敘其所見。
因思陰陽陶蒸，萬象錯布，元化忘言，神工獨運。艸木敷榮，不待丹綠之采；雲雪飄墜，不俟鉛粉而白。山不待空青而翠，鳳不待五色而綷。故運墨而五色具，謂之得意也。
款識：乙卯（1855）呵凍為述舫四兄大人雅屬，子貞弟何紹基。鈐印：何紹基印、子貞
