  • Bronze
the pear-shaped body rising from a splayed foot to a waisted neck and flaring rim, flanked by a pair of archaistic phoenix handles with notched flanges, the body and neck cast with taotie bands, separated by a band of kui dragons, all reserved on a leiwen ground, the rim encircled with a key fret border, highlighted with gold inlays

Condition

Both handles to this vase have been restored and the surface patina has been cleaned. There is also a 3cm by 2.3cm rectangular casting flaw/repair to the lower section of one side and there are some minor nicks and scratches throughout.
