- Ceramic
of rectangular section, the facetted body rising from a flat base to a stepped shoulder and a ribbed neck, flanked by a pair of elephant handles, the body decorated in turquoise, white and aubergine enamels with floral sprays and ruyi stems, with an upright lappet border issuing from the foot, in a dark purple-blue ground
Condition
There is a restored break to the centre of the vase and two further restorations, one on the foot (approx. 3 cm by 3.5 cm) and at the neck (approx. 5 cm by 3.5 cm). There is a small chip on one corner of the foot. There are minor flakes to the glaze in various areas.
