the flared sides of the interior of both painted with a phoenix with outstretched wings, its body wrapping over the rim and its tail extending down the exterior, facing two bamboo stems also extending to the exterior, the base with an apocryphal six-character Chenghua mark in underglaze blue within a circle
Condition
The cups are in good condition except for minor frits to the rim and foot of both, and slight scratches to the surface of the glaze.
