The scabbard slide is in overall good condition with just insignificant nicks along the edges as expected with its age and type. The catalogue illustration is a tinge redder than the actual colour of the stone.

青玉，佈滿白色鈣化璊斑，玉質與拍賣編號341玉蟬相近。璏面高浮雕一對子母螭虎，大螭虎身體細長，呈S形彎曲匍匐，長尾回捲，以簡潔陰線刻表現細節，另一隻小螭虎盤臥左側，與之相望。同類型劍璏流行於兩漢時期，西漢例子可見陝西長安鄧店村漢墓出土，錄於古方，《中國出土玉器全集14》，2005年，頁151；東漢例子可見江西南昌塘山公社東漢墓出土，前述出處，頁66。
