The brushpot is in good condition with just a faint bodyline to the unglazed ring on the base measuring approx. 0.6 cm.

此筆筒描繪喜鵲閒憩松枝之景，藝匠巧將圓形器物表面化作橫軸於其上作畫，轉動筆筒，如展開畫卷，甚爲精緻。此類主題承中國水墨及花鳥彩繪之風，自十五世紀初御窰多有燒製，雍正年間尤為盛行。

一相類作例，售於紐約蘇富比1989年12月6日，編號196，後於1991年11月27日紐約佳士得售出，編號377。尚有一落雍正年款類例，以釉裏紅繪喜上眉梢圖，北京故宮博物院藏，載於《清代御窰瓷器》，卷1（下），北京，2005年，圖版61。
