well modelled in openwork in the form of an archaistic chilong, its head forming the hook while a smaller chilong wreaths sinuously on the arched body grasping a spray of lingzhi in its mouth, the other section of the buckle similarly modelled with an openwork chilong in high relief, each of the two raised panels worked in the form of a flower head centred with a stamen

The buckle is in overall very good condition. It is carved from a fine translucent stone of even white cloud. There is some faint white veining. There is some expected insignificant original nibbling to the extremities or along the edges.
