It is rare to find a 15th century gilt-bronze figure of Prajnaparamita of this small size and quality. For another 15th century example sold at auction, see the larger figure of Prajnaparamita, exhibited by Spink & Son Ltd., Visions of Perfect Worlds, 1999, cat. no. 9, and sold at Christie's New York, 17th October 2001, lot 115.
