梨形膽瓶，以釉裡紅繪佛獅或其他動物紋樣者少有，其中另加釉上描金者更罕。本品於透明釉下，再以銅紅釉作飾，而非常見之釉裡紅紋樣，所成剪影輪廓視效，不見細節，遂另施金彩，描繪細處。此技源自明永樂一朝，然宣德以降鮮用，直至康熙復見。相類銅紅例較少，且體量不一，如見瓶例於展覽《清瓷薈錦：香港藝術館藏清代陶瓷》，香港藝術館，香港，1984年，編號9。以及一件極近瓶例，藏於台北國立故宮博物院，錄《清康、雍、乾名瓷特展》，國立故宮博物院，台北，1986年，編號6；另有一例，載《Oriental Ceramics from Private Collections》，格羅寧根，1982年，編號79。亦有一相若樣式瓶例，然無描金，且尺寸較小，售於紐約蘇富比2001年9月19日，編號165。一紙槌瓶例，圖案極近本品，可資比對，售於倫敦蘇富比1974年7月9日，編號276，後再售於香港蘇富比1993年10月26日，編號211。另比一紙槌瓶例，無描金，售於倫敦佳士得1983年4月19日，編號354。亦有一瓶例，畫狻猊、水牛及一帶翼獬豸，釉色灰紅，無描金，刊於《上海博物館藏康熙瓷圖錄》，香港，1998年，編號79。
