with shallow rounded sides rising from a tapered foot to a flared rim, the interior incised with an archaistic vase with leafy branches issuing three large peony blooms in yellow enamel, encircled by the beribboned babao in yellow and aubergine enamels at the cavetto, the exterior with six yellow lingzhi sprigs, all reserved on a bright green ground, the green base incised with a six-character reign mark within a double circle in yellow

The dish is in overall good condition except for a stained hairline crack to the rim, measuring approx. 0.7 cm on the exterior and approx. 0.45 cm on the interior (at around 6 o'clock position), as well as a minute firing line to the body underneath the glaze to the mouthrim on the exterior.

Seligman 舊藏，售於1954年5月11日，編號52，其二為 Wilfrid Evill 舊藏，售於1965年11月30日，編號32；另於 R.H.R. Palmer 收藏中見一類例，售於倫敦佳士得1973年6月4日，編號185。同可參比一相似紋飾萬曆款盤，尺寸略大，大衛德爵士舊藏，現存倫敦大英博物館，錄 Margaret Medley，《Illustrated Catalogue of Ming Polychrome Wares》，倫敦，1978，圖版99；亦存一近似例，同為 R.H.R. Palmer 珍藏，展於東方陶瓷學會，《The Arts of the Ming Dynasty》，倫敦，1957年，編號208；除此之外，於 Grandidier 舊藏見一類例，現存巴黎吉美國立亞洲藝術博物館，載《Oriental Ceramics. The World’s Great Collections》，卷7，東京，1981年，圖版77。

本品所飾瓶中牡丹，滿富吉祥，其中「瓶」同音「平」，寓意「平安」，而牡丹，象徵富貴，合謂「平安富貴」之美願。
