with rounded sides rising from a tapered foot to a flaring rim, boldly painted in rich iron-red washes accented with sharp outlines in a deeper hue, the exterior with a pair of five-clawed scaly dragons striding amongst scrolling clouds, their muscular legs with flame-like projections and terminating to sharp claws, all between line borders at the rim and the foot, the interior left plain, inscribed to the base in underglaze-blue with six-character reign mark within a double circle

The dish is in good condition except for a 1 cm hairline crack to the rim, as well as a shallow 'V'-shaped firing fissure/line on the foot of approx. 2 cm and associated glaze pull on the interior wall at the 4 o'clock position (see p. 172). There is also an oval-shaped kiln chip to the footrim/inner foot of 1 by 0.5 cm at the 10 o'clock position (unillustrated).

一相若盤例，為大維德爵士舊藏，現存倫敦大英博物館，出於 Margaret Medley 編《Illustrated Catalogue of Ming Polychrome Wares》，倫敦，1996年，圖版A727。另可比一組尺寸略大，飾近似礬紅遊龍盌例，帶青花《大明嘉靖年製》款，如見其中一例，屬清宮舊藏，現仍存北京，載《故宮博物院藏文物珍品全集·雜釉彩·素三彩》，上海，2009年，圖版5。另如東京出光美術館藏例，錄《出光美術館藏品圖錄：中國陶磁》，東京，1987年，圖版195；亦見一例，先後為 B.Z. Seligman 夫人與 Raymond F.A. Riesco 遞藏，後兩度售於倫敦蘇富比，分別於1954年5月11日，編號48，以及1970年6月23日，編號48。
