There is a small typical glaze flake to the mouthrim. Other minor surface wear and original firing flaws, including a 0.3 cm flaw under the rim.

此盤，著濃艷黃釉，為明正德年間典型宮廷用色，是於鐵黃中參入少量氧化鐵而成。此色被指系宮廷專用，僅少量當作禮品贈予他國，見兩正德款盌例，屬奧斯曼皇室收藏，現存托普卡匹皇宮，伊斯坦布爾，載於康蕊君，《Chinese Ceramics in the Topkapi Saray Museum》，倫敦，1986年，卷二，彩色圖版775。
