泰祥洲於1968年出生於寧夏銀川， 於清華大學美術學院獲得博士學位。泰祥洲對中國傳統文化與藝術見解深厚：他曾師從王文均，胡公石學習書法，師從崔玉潤，李振江學習古畫修復，於北京大學考古研究所鑽研宋，元，明，清造紙術，又師從著名畫家劉丹精進技藝。泰祥洲的作品，無論是震人心魄的山水，精妙的奇石，或規整內斂的書法，皆根植於此穩固根基之上，展現出自信的個人風格。他的作品現收藏於堪薩斯Nelson-Atkins藝術館、 哈佛大學薩克勒博物館、北京大學薩克勒藝術與考古博物館、並曾於世界各地舉辦的個展及群展，包括：阿聯酋沙迦書法博物館、薩克勒藝術與考古博物館、今日美術館、上海世博會、堪薩斯Nelson-Atkins藝術館、以及其他亞洲，歐洲及美國地區畫廊。
