This work is overall in very good condition. The canvas is overall varnished. There are slight abrasions along the top border and the left border. There is no sign of restoration under UV examination.

「邱亞才的人物，不純然只是在畫人，而是畫出生活在這些人身上，所留下的刻度有多深、多重。他讓畫面中的人物呈現一股沉著靜謐的氣韻，一種因為洞燭萬般諸事的無波無瀾，但卻無減生命背後的厚度。邱亞才是兩岸三地的藝術家群中，最能把知識份子的氣味徹地圖像化的代表。作品本身散發出文化的厚實性，沒有繁鬧的社會現象，也沒有炫麗的消費色彩，邱亞才讓他自己筆下的人物，就好比杜斯托也夫斯基筆下的人物，表面上似乎毫無心緒起伏，內在則充滿著生命的張力與衝擊，這樣的溫差對應，為他的藝術的想像空間鋪陳得更為遼闊與悠遠。」
