made of a beautifully figured wumu ebony wood frame inset with a huanghuali floating panel, waisted and bulging to a beaded-edged apron and curved legs ending in hoof feet, all joined to the floor stretchers below

There is minor strengthening to the corners of the base stretchers. The underside retains its original patina. Minor surface wear and scratches.

此例為格角邊框鑲面心板結構。牙條與束腰，一木連做，全身光素，鼓腿彭牙式。牙條沿邊起線，大彎腿下端收為馬蹄足。足端出榫與托泥連結，托泥下帶四小足。取材木紋生動細緻。

矮几用途廣泛，有用作陳列古玩瓷器、銅器等其他珍貴物品；亦有用作放置香爐。矮几本身亦會被置於床上作桌使用。

此几與王世襄先生收藏中一具十分相似，載錄於王世襄，《自珍集 – 儷松居長物志 》，北京，2003年，頁201。
