The prints are in good condition, the full sheets. '2' with a slight ripple in the top corner of the sheet. '4' is unevenly printed on right side of sheet.Framed size: 104.3 x 80.5 cm; 41 x 31 3/4 in.

1960年代至1970年代，布萊斯·馬登憑藉自己的啞光單色多張版畫在藝術節打開名氣。馬登既是畫家，也是版畫家，其對極簡美學作出了顯著貢獻，在強烈情感與簡潔形態間達成平衡。
此作作於1983年，布萊斯·馬登於同年首次到訪亞洲。長方形的姿態筆觸好似亞洲繪畫中的水墨效果。書法傳統中的字形對馬登的藝術風格有重要影響，其後來幾十年的藝術作品均更加注重筆勢及構圖。
紐約大都會博物館永久收藏中藏有一版此作，編號No. 621.1982.1-4。
