拍品資料及來源

This is the third edition of the Essay on Homer, but the first edition of the Comparative View of the Troade.

"Wood was in the Levant from 1742-43 and from 1749-51. In 1751 he was in Athens, giving assistance to Stuart and Revett; he visited the Troad, then he went to Palmyra and Balbec... The Comparative View is one of the earliest of the attempts to work out Homeric geography" (Blackmer).
