拍品資料及來源
According to the Preface, written by Ferdinand von Hochstetter, "Dr Helfer was a young Austrian physician and naturalist, who, between the years 1830 and 1840, was impelled by an irresistible love of exploration and research to leave his country and travel in the East, until he met his death by the poisoned arrow of a savage off the Andaman Islands, in the Bay of Bengal."
Copies of this title are known bound as two volumes in one in red publisher's cloth with an engraved frontispiece, but none appears to be called for.
