Condition

The pendant is in overall good condition. There are some very small old shallow chips under the tail and a small old frit to the tip of one wing. The stone is polished and has a matte surface. There are traces of earth and cinnabar in the recessed parts of the carving. The stone is a darker, more saturated green colour than the catalogue illustration suggests.
