Condition
Movement in working order when cataloging. Solar panel with some light signs of oxidization, dial is clean and intact, chapter ring with light discoloration, both normal and consistent considering its age. Enamel panels in very good condition, three small hairlines underneath the enamel panel. Overall in very good condition, rare piece.
Please note the movement has not been tested for time keeping and a service might be required at the buyer's expense.

百達翡麗於製錶科技創新方面一直不遺餘力，早於五十年代中期已研發出專利太陽能圓頂座鐘，由光源為光電池充電，為機芯提供動力。根據資料，首座配備機械機芯之圓頂座鐘型號為701，於1956年面世。此座圓頂座鐘為品牌早期之作品，與後期作品不同之處，在於其屬品牌第一系列推出之座鐘，搭配17-250機械機芯，動力由太陽能電池提供，一直備受藏家追捧推崇，迄今出現於公開市場之作品為數甚少。
